Communications, surveillance, detection and signals intelligence infrastructures

Turgis Gaillard supports the most strategic functions of the armed forces, helping major prime contractors to design and build communication, surveillance and detection, signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare (EW) systems in a Joint All-Domain Operational (JADO) environment.

Turgis Gaillard contributes to global situational awareness thanks to its expertise in cutting-edge technologies, and helps to meet the most difficult challenges facing French and allied armed forces.

Fixed systems

Turgis Gaillard provides the following services:

infrastructure design;
infrastructure construction, particularly involving large-scale metal subassemblies (antennas, masts, technical facilities, control and operating systems, Faraday cages, etc.);
infrastructure maintenance.

The company helps to build the following systems:

microwave communication networks;
radar detection centers;
fixed SIGINT collection centers, advanced transmission facilities;
fixed EW centers;
Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) systems and Joint Air Ground Integration Centers (JAGIC).

The specific features of these strategic infrastructures require total commitment from Turgis Gaillard teams to ensure system integrity and continuity of operation. On-call duty rosters ensure permanent availability.

It's an exciting but demanding job, requiring experience and motivation. We work in special conditions: high above the ground, in low temperatures, confined spaces... you'd better like a challenge!

Mobile systems

Turgis Gaillard also designs, builds and maintains mobile systems, including :

shelters, mobile command posts;
masts for fixed antennas, rotating antennas and sensors;
ancillary equipment;
generating sets.

This equipment is used in the following systems:

communication networks;
tactical command & control (C2) stations, Joint Air Ground Integration Centers (JAGIC) contributing to Air Surface Integration (ASI) and Air Land Integration (ALI);
signals intelligence collection;
airspace surveillance and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), secondary air defense radars;
air defense systems for area protection.

They can be manufactured individually or in small production runs, sometimes with extremely tight deadlines to meet urgent operational requirements. Qualified to withstand the most extreme conditions, they draw on all the accumulated experience and know-how of Turgis Gaillard’s engineers, technicians and craftsmen.

It's a challenge every time, because of the value of the systems we integrate, the operational constraints, and the deadlines to be met in nearly every case. But it's exciting to be involved in producing such equipment.

Airborne systems

The AAROK MALE UAV and the ODIN and NITRATHE systems contribute directly to the performance of strategic multi-domain C4ISR missions:

collection of image intelligence (IMINT) and signals intelligence (SIGINT);
surveillance using Synthetic Aperture Radar with Ground Moving Target Indication (SAR-GMTI);
creation of a Battlefield Airborne Communication Node (BACN);
offensive and defensive jamming (power jamming, decoys: IR cartridges and chaff packets).

These systems can be deployed directly by Turgis Gaillard teams in France or in theaters of operation.
